It has been a pleasure for Word of God Fellowship to have been an integral part of LepLes Vision For the Needy. This is an Orphanage located in Chiputu, Malawi, close to the Mozambique border. It houses 30 orphans at present. We began in 2011 and now consist of four buildings (one dorm that can hold 64 orphans) sitting on approximately 15 acres of land (donated by local chiefs) and nearing completion of a clinic that will service this remote area in one of the poorest countries in Africa. We have started staff houses for the doctors so there will be a continual presence on site.

We have also established ten churches and have repaired over 40 wells, while drilling four wells in this region. We are in good relations with approximately 20+ chiefs in the immediate area and in good standing with the governments including two MPs (Member of Parliament) in our area.

Currently we employ two mamas, three supervisors and 10-12 workers – all full-time employees; we are growing our own crops and even selling a little to help make this orphanage self-sufficient; we are teaching trades on site with the desire to give these orphans the ability to provide for themselves once they age out of the orphanage.
